Welcome to The South Jersey Eye Center
Since 1961, The South Jersey Eye Center has been serving the community by providing comprehensive eye health and vision care services to all populations, especially the low income, uninsured, underinsured, and needy residents of South Jersey. This free-standing non-profit facility is a one of a kind resource in the state of New Jersey. Each year thousands of people of all ages benefit from vital eye care services provided by South Jersey Eye Center.
Governed by a Board of Directors composed of eye care professionals and community leaders, the Center is addressing the community health needs of Camden City, Camden County, and surrounding areas of Southern New Jersey. With the facility's emphasis on community oriented primary care, the South Jersey Eye Center is bringing vital eye care services to its target population.
The services of the South Jersey Eye Center are available to all families in the South Jersey area. Referrals are also accepted from schools, social, governmental and health care agencies, Lions Clubs, service clubs and private practitioners.
Under the guidance of Dr. Shelby Baker, O.D. Executive Director/Chief Medical Officer, the Center offers specialized services as well as comprehensive eye care through its ongoing collaboration with area healthcare agencies and governmental, corporate, and charitable foundation partners.
Delivering excellent eye care for all with distinctive programs for children, the elderly, and the homeless; The South Jersey Eye Center is playing a leading role in ensuring eye health in South Jersey.
