Dr. Mary Ellen Gallick
Dr. Mary Ellen Gallick received her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1981 and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston in 1985.
She has been practicing as a New Jersey eye doctor since 1985. Dr. Gallick is an Associate Optometrist and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the South Jersey Eye Center.
Dr. Shelby Baker
Executive Director/ Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Shelby Baker graduated Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1977. He has been a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians since 1990.
Dr. Baker has been in private practice in Burlington, New Jersey since 1977. He is the newly appointed Executive Director and Chief Medical Officer at South Jersey Eye Center.
Dr. Christine Clancey
Dr. Christine Clancey received her bachelor degree from Lafayette College in Easton, Pa in 1995 and her Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1999.
With the exception of a short leave of absence to have her children, she has been with the South Jersey Eye Center since 2001 both as a Board Member and as an active member of the ophthalmic staff.
Dr. Clancey is a past president of the Haddonfield Lions Club. In addition to working at the South Jersey Eye Center she practices in Hammonton, NJ and Haddonfield, NJ.
Dr. Patrick Johnson
Dr. Patrick Johnson received his bachelor degree from Glassboro College in 1980 and his doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1995.
Dr. Johnson served in the Marine Corp and retired in 2006. He is active in the Boy Scouts. He joined the staff of South Jersey Eye Center in 2014.
Dr. Mark Lipman
Dr. Mark Lipman graduated Magna Cum Laude from Temple University in 1976 and received his Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1980.
Dr. Lipman is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He maintains a private practice in Voorhees, New Jersey and has been on the staff of South Jersey Eye Center for over 15 years.
Dr. Ron Platt
Dr. Ron Platt graduated from Ursinus College in 1979 and received his Doctor of Optometry in from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1984, and is licensed to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Dr. Platt has a private practice in Philadelphia, PA., he specializes in contact lenses fittings. He has been on the Board of Directors of South Jersey Eye Center, and providing vision services to our patients since 1997.
Dr. Ranjoo K. Prasad
Dr. Ranjoo K. Prasad, O.D. received her Bachelor’s degree from Douglass College, Rutgers University in 1994 and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1998.
Dr. Prasad did her residency at the University Of Houston College Of Optometry where she specialized in Low Vision Rehabilitation. She is licensed to practice in the states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Texas.
She has provided Low Vision Rehabilitation and Primary Care Optometric for the South Jersey Eye Center since 1999.
Dr. Floyd F. Spechler
Dr. Floyd F. Spechler, M.D. received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1967 and graduated from the Jefferson Medical College in 1971. He interned at the Walter Reed General Hospital in Washington, D.C. and did his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia where he specialized in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Spechler served in the United States Army from 1971-1975. He maintains a private practice in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and has been providing ophthalmology services to South Jersey Eye Center patients for over twenty years.
Dr. Larry Charles Wallis
Dr. Larry Charles Wallis received his bachelor degree from Rutgers College of Arts & Sciences in 1970 and his Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1974.
Dr. Wallis is Board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease by the New Jersey State Board of Optometry. As Director of Governmental Relations for the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians Dr. Wallis has represented the interests of organized optometry in New Jersey and the patients they serve.
He has given testimony before many legislative committees at the State House in Trenton regarding eye care legislation important to New Jersey consumers. Dr. Wallis maintains his private practice in Gloucester City, New Jersey. He has been on staff at South Jersey Eye Center since 1982.
